Privacy Policy

Mr. Mock is a hiring and interview platform operated by Novosoft Labs ("Novosoft Labs", "we", "us", "our"), based at KIIT, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you — whether you're a hiring team using Mr. Mock ("Customer") or a candidate applying through it ("Candidate").

From Customers (recruiters, hiring managers, and admins who sign up): your name, work email, organization name, and — if you upgrade to a paid plan — billing details processed by our payment provider, Razorpay (we do not store your card or bank details ourselves).

From Candidates (people who apply to a position through Mr. Mock): your name, email, phone number (if provided), resume/CV and its contents, your answers during an AI voice interview (transcribed and, where the hiring team has enabled proctoring for that role, recorded on video), and any other information you choose to submit through an application form.

We do not require Candidates to create an account or a password to apply, interview, or view their results.

• To operate the service: matching applications to roles, generating interview questions, scheduling and running AI voice interviews, and producing fit scores and summaries for the hiring team.
• To communicate with you: application confirmations, interview invitations, status updates, and — for Customers — product and billing notifications.
• To improve and secure Mr. Mock: diagnosing errors, preventing abuse, and understanding aggregate usage.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Interview scoring and question generation are AI-assisted. A human on the hiring team always makes the final call on any hiring decision — Mr. Mock surfaces information and analysis, it does not autonomously reject or hire anyone.

We don't sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make Mr. Mock work, each of them processing it on our behalf and under their own security commitments:

• Clerk — account authentication for Customers.
• Supabase — our database and file storage.
• Groq — the language-model provider used to generate interview questions and analyze responses.
• Retell AI — powers the AI voice interview itself.
• Razorpay — payment processing for paid plans.
• Vercel — application hosting and infrastructure.

A Candidate's application and interview data is also, naturally, shared with the specific Customer (hiring team) they applied to — that's the point of applying. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Novosoft Labs, our users, or the public.

Candidate application and interview data is retained for as long as the hiring team's account is active, or until they delete it, so they can refer back to past pipelines. A Candidate may request deletion of their own data at any time (see Section 7) — we'll forward that request to the relevant Customer where the data is theirs to act on, and delete what we control directly.

We use cookies for authentication (via Clerk) and basic, privacy-respecting product analytics (via Vercel Analytics) to understand which pages are used and to catch errors. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

You can ask us to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data, subject to what we're legally required to retain.
• Tell you which third parties we've shared your data with.

To exercise any of these, email info.mr.mock@gmail.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time, and in any case within the timeframe required by applicable law.

We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and scoped service-role credentials — to protect the data we hold. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously and will notify affected users if we become aware of a breach affecting their personal data, as required by law.

Mr. Mock is intended for people old enough to legally work or apply for employment. We don't knowingly collect data from children below that age.

Some of our service providers operate infrastructure outside India. Where data is transferred internationally, it's protected by that provider's own security and contractual commitments.

We may update this policy as Mr. Mock evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify Customers directly.
